Everything your STEM store needs to run easier and sell more. Live on your store in 12 weeks.

We have spent years building commerce for STEM brands and learned what actually lifts their sales and lightens their daily work. We packaged the pieces that performed best into ready-made modules you add to your store, so you get proven, fixed improvements instead of open-ended agency work.

The modules sit on top of the store you already have, not in place of it. You keep what already works and add the parts a STEM toy retailer actually needs.

THE INDUSTRY, CHECKED STORE BY STORE

Five problems every STEM toy retailer recognises

We mapped the STEM toys market across the US, UK, and Europe, and checked the leading stores feature by feature. The same problems came up everywhere.

Problem · 1

New products go live weeks late

Every supplier sends data in their own format. By the time a new line is imported and ready, competitors have been selling it for weeks.

SOLVED BY MODULE 1
Problem · 2

Your buyers are on Amazon

Many parents search on Amazon and Google, not on your site. If you are not there, they never find you. If you are, you manage it by hand and oversell at Christmas.

SOLVED BY MODULE 2
Problem · 3

Every sale is the last sale

A family buys once and never comes back. Only 7 of 100 STEM stores sell a subscription. So the whole year depends on Q4.

SOLVED BY MODULE 3
Problem · 4

The parcel gets stopped at shipping

Batteries, chemicals, and magnets can’t ship on every route or to every country. The customer orders, then the parcel gets stopped, and the order is cancelled.

SOLVED BY MODULE 4
Problem · 5

The gift arrives but can’t be used yet

Many kits don’t include the batteries or goggles they need. Parents don’t know that, so on the gift morning someone is driving around looking for an open store.

SOLVED BY MODULE 5

Five modules. Each one saves real work or brings in real revenue.

Already built and proven. We shape them around your catalog, your suppliers, and your buyers.

New products live in hours. Prices and stock always current.

Retailers in this industry run catalogs of 5,000–10,000 products from dozens of suppliers, each sending data in their own format. Keeping all of it correct, and getting new lines online fast, is the daily work this module takes over.

  • Supplier feeds connected: prices and stock update automatically, whatever format the supplier sends
  • New products from a supplier's list go live in hours, not weeks
  • Out of stock at the supplier shows in your store before a customer orders it
  • Your team adjusts feed mappings in the interface, no developer needed
  • When a supplier raises prices, your prices follow rules you set, so margin doesn't quietly disappear

Sell everywhere your buyers search – from one catalog

Many parents start their search on Amazon or Google Shopping, not on your website. This module sells your existing catalog on those channels, without giving your team a second job.

  • Listings created from your catalog data for Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, and your markets' local marketplaces
  • Stock synced across all channels, so peak weeks can't oversell you
  • Prices follow rules per channel, with marketplace fees counted in
  • All orders land in one screen, whichever channel they came from
  • Profit per channel visible after fees, so you see which marketplace actually earns

Turn one-time buyers into monthly subscribers

KiwiCo and CrunchLabs built businesses with over 100,000 subscribers on STEM boxes for kids. Yet only 7 of 100 STEM stores sell any subscription. You don't need to manufacture anything: your team picks a monthly box from the catalog you already carry, and this module sells it, bills it, and manages it.

  • Subscription per child and age group, so the box grows with the kid
  • Gift subscriptions for 3 or 6 months, one of the strongest Christmas products a STEM store can have
  • Customers pause, skip, or cancel in their account, not through support
  • Billing runs itself: recurring charges, failed-payment retries, prepaid plans
  • Your team's only job is picking next month's box; no ongoing development

The checkout knows what can ship where

STEM stores ship things normal toy stores don't: lithium batteries, chemicals with postal limits, strong magnets. Some of it can't fly or cross borders, and today that surfaces at the courier desk, after the customer has paid. This module teaches the checkout the rules, so the problem is caught before the order exists.

  • Every product carries flags (battery, chemical, magnet), set in admin or arriving with the supplier feed
  • The checkout applies the rules: ground only, not abroad, declaration needed on the label
  • If one item in the cart can't fly, air shipping simply isn't offered
  • Label notes and declarations print automatically at the packing desk
  • When a carrier changes its policy, your team updates a rule in admin, not code

Batteries, goggles, chargers: the cart offers what the box doesn't include

Many products don't include everything they need: batteries, goggles, SD cards, chargers. The gift buyer has no way to know that, and finds out when the box is already open. The store knows, and this module makes the cart say so and offer the missing item right away.

  • Each product carries a short “needed to use it” list, filled once by your team from supplier specs
  • The cart checks the list and offers what's not included, one tap to add
  • Works for every product type: electronics, chemistry sets, microscopes, anything with extras
  • Higher order value from helpful add-ons, and fewer angry January reviews
  • Data lives in admin: no developers after launch, no AI, no third-party tools

Like the modules? You can have them live in 12 weeks, not months.

See if it fits your store
BUILD VS CONFIGURE

Fifteen months to build it, or twelve weeks to set it up

BUILDING IT NEW~15 mo

A team has to learn how STEM toy retail works first, while you pay for it: supplier feed chaos, marketplace sync, subscription billing, battery shipping rules, all of it gets worked out the hard way, and the first real test is your own Christmas season.

WITH THE ACCELERATOR12 weeks

The modules are already built and proven in real use. The 12 weeks go into fitting them to your suppliers and your systems, not into building.

Supplier price lists retyped by hand; duplicate manufacturer texts everywhere
Supplier feed connections and catalog enrichment tools included
Marketplace listings managed by hand; stock oversold at peak
Marketplace and shopping-feed connections ready to configure
Subscriptions stay "phase 2" forever
Subscription and gift-subscription machinery included
Battery and chemical shipping limits discovered at the courier desk
Product flags and checkout shipping rules included
"Batteries not included" ruins gift mornings and reviews
Batteries & extras reminder at the cart included
Q4 peak survived on luck
Performance tested against the gift rush before it happens
ASSEMBLY · 3 STEPS

A simple three-step plan

Like the numbered steps in a construction-kit instruction sheet: review, set up, run.

1 to 2 weeks

First review

We look at your catalog, suppliers, sales channels, and season calendar, then agree where the accelerator can help your team most.

2 to 12 weeks

Modules set up, live

We set up what you chose – one module or the full accelerator – connect it to your systems, and put it into real use, with no risky overnight switch.

ongoing

Your easiest season yet

Supplier updates run themselves, every channel stays in sync, subscription boxes bill on time, and the shipping rules catch problems before the courier does. Your team finally has time to grow the store. We stay with you through your first peak season.

YOURS AFTER LAUNCH

Not just the build. Everything to run it.

The engagement hands over everything your team needs to run the store on its own – code, documentation, runbooks, training. No black box, no vendor lock-in, no post-launch silence.

  1. 1

    Go-live

Your modules turned on in the live store step by step, tested first, with a safe fallback so shoppers never see a broken page.

  2. 2

    How it's set up

A clear map of your modules, feeds, and connections, kept with the code so any developer can pick it up later.

  3. 3

    Run it yourself

Short admin guides plus hands-on sessions, so your team can run the modules themselves with no developer needed.

  4. 4

    First season

We stay with you through your first peak season, on hand for questions and quick changes, not gone the day after launch.

Your busiest season running smoothly, with less strain on the team and 2x sales.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

The questions that actually come up

We’re on Shopify / Magento / BigCommerce / WooCommerce. Do we have to replatform?
No. The accelerator is a set of proven patterns and modules, not one fixed stack. The modules sit on top of your existing store. We assess your platform in the diagnostic sprint and tell you what fits where – and if your platform genuinely can’t carry a module, we say so before any build starts.
Will the modules need developers every month after launch?
No – that is a design rule of this accelerator. Supplier file mappings, channel prices, box contents, shipping rules, and completeness lists are all managed by your own team in the admin. The only ongoing work the modules create is merchandising decisions – your team’s normal job, not an agency invoice.
We already sell on Amazon.
Good – then you know the pain of managing it by hand. Module 2 turns it into one catalog feeding every channel, with stock synced so the Christmas rush can’t oversell you, and channel profit visible after fees.
Subscription boxes sound like a lot of work for us.
The honest answer: picking next month’s box is ongoing work – but it’s a merchandising decision from the catalog you already carry, made by your team in an afternoon. Everything else – billing, retries, pausing, gifting, address changes – runs itself. That’s the difference between the business model and the technology: you bring the first, the module brings the second.
We also sell to schools – is that covered?
This accelerator focuses on families and gift buyers. School and institutional buying (quotes, purchase orders, invoice payment, teacher accounts) is available as a separate add-on – we’ve built those flows for education businesses before. If schools matter to you, we scope the add-on in the diagnostic sprint.
We want to sell to other countries – is that covered?
Not as a standard module – for most retailers it’s a later step. When it becomes your priority, we add it per market: properly translated storefronts, correct VAT setup, and the EU product-safety requirements (GPSR). We’ll tell you honestly which markets pay off and which don’t.
Who owns the code after launch?
You do. Full repository and documentation handed over at launch. No lock-in. Ongoing support happens on request.
Can we see it before committing?
Yes. We walk through the modules in a sandbox during the consultation. Book below.
SEE IF IT FITS

See if the accelerator fits your business

Thirty minutes. We look at how your store runs, find where you could save time and sell more, and tell you whether the accelerator fits. If it does not, we will say so.

“You don't pay us to learn STEM toy retail. We already did. Supplier feeds, marketplaces, subscriptions – configure the proven modules to your stack in 12 weeks, not 18 months.”
