We’re excited to announce that scandiweb’s Ari (the first agent for Magento) and Magefan are now partners. Magefan’s Magento extensions are available in the Ari extension marketplace, where Ari installs and configures them for merchants, letting them try each one on a copy of their store before buying a license.
Magefan’s Blog extension perfectly shows what that changes in practice. It has been downloaded more than 2 million times and is live on around 10,000 Magento stores. Setting it up means a Composer install and configuration before anyone can publish before anyone can publish a first post. With Ari, a merchant asks for a blog in chat and has Magefan’s extension installed on a preview copy of their store a few minutes later.

About Magefan
Magefan has been building Magento 2 extensions for more than 11 years. The catalog today covers 52+ Magento extensions and 8 Shopify apps, with 4M+ downloads worldwide. Their tools handle content, SEO, data tracking, and store optimization for thousands of merchants in 90+ countries.
All of Magefan’s extensions are accessible with Ari. To start, here are Magefan’s top extensions, developed over a decade and backed by thousands of positive reviews and downloads:
- Magento 2 Blog Extension – a full blog inside the Magento admin, with posts, categories, tags, authors, and comments, 22+ templates, related products under each post, blog SEO built in, and import tools for moving over from WordPress or another blog module; works with Hyvä and Breeze.
- Magento 2 Translation Extension that translates products, categories, CMS content, emails, and interface text into 200+ languages from the admin, manually or automatically through DeepL, ChatGPT, Google Translate, or DeepSeek, one page at a time, in bulk, or on a schedule.
- Magento 2 SEO Extension with seven SEO tools in one suite, covering meta tag templates, canonical tags, rich snippets, automatic redirects, hreflang, cross-linking, XML and HTML sitemaps, and an llms.txt file for AI crawlers.
- Magento 2 Google Tag Manager for connecting the store to GTM, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads with a ready-made data layer, tracks 13+ eCommerce events from product view to purchase, and supports server-side tracking and Google Consent Mode.

The full list is on Magefan’s Magento 2 extensions page.
How installing a Magefan extension with Ari works
Merchants can browse the marketplace and click Try out on the listing, or ask for the feature in chat with Ari (“add a blog to my store”), and Ari points to the suitable extension.
From there, the install goes like this:
- Ari explains the trial before anything happens, so the merchant knows what is about to change and where.
- Ari installs the extension on a copy of the store in a separate conversation. It takes a few minutes, and the merchant can keep working in other conversations meanwhile.
- Before the install starts, Ari checks the extension against the store’s theme and the modules already running, and it tests the store before showing the result. A progress card in the chat shows the files changed and the commands run.
- When the install is done, Ari shows the merchant around. The extension’s settings and pages open from buttons in the chat, and Ari points to the feature worth turning on first.
- The live store does not change until the merchant releases the conversation, the same way they release any other change in Ari.
After the setup, the merchant can ask Ari how a Magefan feature works, which settings suit their store, or just ask Ari to change the settings for them. Every setting Ari mentions opens in the Magento admin of the preview store, right beside the chat.
With the Blog extension, for example, that means a store team asks for a blog, sees Magefan Blog running on their own theme with their own catalog a few minutes later, and gets help from Ari choosing a template, setting URLs, and publishing the first post.
Licenses and support
Ari installs the free version of an extension. Paid versions are bought from Magefan, at Magefan’s price and on Magefan’s terms, and Ari installs the extension with the license the merchant gets there.
Magefan keeps supporting its extensions the way it does today, which covers bugs in the extension and license questions. Ari and the Ari team take care of the installation and configuration, along with any conflicts with the rest of the store and anything on the Magento side.
Ari also works with more than 1,000 Magento extensions beyond what is listed in the marketplace, custom modules included. If a store needs an extension that has no listing yet, the merchant asks for it in the chat, and Ari installs it on the preview copy the same way.
Ari creator Alfreds Genkins and co-founder Glebs Vrevsky are showing Ari building a change live in a free webinar on October 28, and hosting a live Q&A with merchants, developers, agencies, and extension providers.
Frequently asked questions
Which Magefan extensions can Ari install?
Magefan has made its Magento 2 extensions available to Ari. The Blog, Translation, SEO, and Google Tag Manager extensions are the ones Magefan recommends trying first, and Ari can also suggest other Magefan extensions when they match what a merchant asks for in chat.
Do I buy Magefan extensions through Ari or from Magefan?
You buy licenses from Magefan, at Magefan’s prices and on Magefan’s terms. Ari installs the extension on a preview copy of your store for the trial, and the extension reaches your live server only after you have bought the license.
Who supports a Magefan extension installed by Ari?
Magefan supports its extensions as it does today, including bugs and license questions. The Ari team handles the install and the configuration, along with any conflicts between the extension and the rest of your Magento store.
Do Magefan extensions work with Hyvä?
Many of them do. Magefan’s Blog extension, for example, supports Hyvä and Breeze themes. Ari installs every extension on a preview copy of your store first, so you can check how it behaves on your own theme before buying.
Has a Magefan extension been sitting on your wishlist for a while? Connect your store to Ari and ask for it in chat. Ari puts it on a preview copy of your store so you can see it working before you buy the license.
Do you build Magento extensions? List them in the Ari marketplace for free, and Ari will install and configure them for merchants. Propose your extension on the Ari partners page.
