Managed cloud hosting with one accountable team

Your eCommerce storefronts sit across more than one cloud and more than one contract. scandiweb takes over the infrastructure and the on-call, so one team owns whether your stores stay up.

What breaks when hosting has no single owner

Most estates got here one decision at a time. A store moved hosts during a replatform, and a second brand launched somewhere cheaper because that was quicker than asking. Nobody chose the result.

Nobody owns uptime

The host blames the code and the developers blame the host, while the store stays down for the length of that conversation.

Cloud spend rises unchecked

Instances sized for a peak three years ago bill every month at that size, and nobody reviews them against real traffic.

New rules cannot be met

A new market requires data kept in-region, and the current setup cannot do it without a rebuild nobody has scoped yet.

What managed cloud hosting covers

Managed cloud hosting stops being a server contract once you have more than one brand. What you are buying at that point is a single owner for the decisions no individual storefront team can see.

Not sure which of these matters most for your estate?

The assessment names the two or three that would change your month.

Picking the cloud before picking the plan

Cloud choice is usually settled by whoever set up the first store, and it stays settled for years afterward. scandiweb builds managed cloud infrastructure around what your storefronts actually do: where your customers are, and what your team can operate without hiring a specialist. Sometimes the recommendation is to stay exactly where you are, and the reasoning comes with it either way.

Over 1,000 A/B tests completed on 150+ eCommerce stores has given us the insight to run CRO campaigns that deliver real results. Using tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, and user testing, we identify and fix what’s blocking conversions across product pages, navigation, and checkout.

The hosting platform we built ourselves

scandiweb has been building its own infrastructure tooling since 2020, when the team shipped ReadyMage, managed Adobe Commerce hosting that provisions a full environment in one click. Cloud hosting for eCommerce is what that tooling was built for, so the engineer discussing your setup has also been the one paged when a deploy goes wrong.

The same goes for ScandiPWA, the open-source React storefront behind stores at PUMA and Sportland, and for Hyvä Swift, our component system for Hyvä builds.

What multi-cloud hosting looks like with one team on it

Today

Three hosting contracts with three renewal dates
Incidents open with an argument about whose fault it is
Instance sizes set during a launch nobody remembers
Alerts arrive in a shared inbox
A new market means starting a new hosting project
Nobody can say when a restore was last tested
Security patching happens when someone has time
Cloud spend is a line item nobody questions

With scandiweb

One contract and one point of contact
One team owns the incident from the first alert
Instance sizes matched to last quarter's peak
Alerts reach an on-call engineer, day or night
New regions provisioned from the setup you have
Restore targets tested on a schedule you can see
Patching scheduled, with evidence kept for auditors
Spend reported back, with the rightsizing you approved

Why teams hand us the infrastructure

No vendor in the middle

The engineers holding the infrastructure also ship the code on top of it, so an incident is diagnosed by people who already know what changed.

A multi-cloud hosting partner

scandiweb operates on AWS as a Partner Network member and works inside Azure and Google Cloud, so the recommendation follows your requirements.

Built on 2,100+ delivered projects

candiweb has shipped 2,100+ eCommerce projects since 2003, so the failure modes your estate will hit have already been seen and fixed.

Certified on the platforms you use

894+ Adobe certifications and Hyvä Platinum Partner status mean a platform-level fix never waits in a second vendor's ticket queue.

9,000+ support tickets handled

scandiweb's support teams work 9,000+ tickets a year across 450+ active clients, so your escalation path is one the team uses daily.

Only the best talent at your service

Only 0.4% of applicants make it through scandiweb's hiring process, and the infrastructure engineers here are hired to that same bar.

How an eCommerce cloud migration actually goes

Nothing moves until the assessment is finished and you have approved what it recommends. Most estates come across in stages, one storefront at a time, and the first cutover is deliberately the smallest one you own.

 Cloud assessment

Engineers read your current setup end to end, including what is deployed where and what would fail first under real load. The findings arrive in writing before anyone quotes a migration.

Architecture and modeled cost

You get the recommended setup on paper with the provider named and the monthly bill modeled against your own traffic, in language you can forward to finance without translating it first.

Staged eCommerce cloud migration

Each move is performed against a clone of production before the real date, so the runbook is corrected on a copy. Cutover happens in a window you pick, with the old setup warm behind it.

Operate and report

Monitoring and patching continue from there, backed by long-term eCommerce support, and a written report covers what changed and what it cost.

Cloud hosting questions we get asked most

How do you choose between AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud?

Your requirements decide it. Customer location sets the regions, and data-residency law can eliminate a provider outright. Existing enterprise agreements matter too, since many retailers already hold committed spend with one provider. scandiweb's deepest operating experience is on AWS, and the assessment models the monthly cost on each viable option before recommending one.

What happens to our existing hosting contracts?

They stay in force until you decide otherwise. The assessment lists every contract with its renewal date, so moves are sequenced to land before you would otherwise re-sign. Where a contract still has months left, you let it expire on its own terms. The sequencing recommendation includes the option to stay where you are.

How do you cut cloud spend without losing peak capacity?

Most savings come from rightsizing instances that were provisioned for a peak years ago and never revisited. After that, the steady baseline moves onto reserved or committed capacity while auto-scaling absorbs the spikes. Storage tiers and idle non-production environments usually give up more than expected. Every change gets modeled against your real traffic first, and the headroom for peaks stays.

How long does an eCommerce cloud migration take?

Nobody can date a migration before reading the estate, so you get a sequence with target dates before any work is booked. Length comes down to how many storefronts move, and how much of each one's release process moves with it. Because storefronts go one at a time, the first is live and stable while later ones are still being scoped.

Can different storefronts sit on different clouds?

Yes, and for multi-brand groups it is often the right answer. One brand can stay on a provider its parent company has an agreement with while another sits where its customers are. What has to be shared is the operating model, so an alert from either brand lands with the engineers who already know both. Split infrastructure only hurts when it comes with split ownership.

Who is accountable when the store goes down at night?

An on-call scandiweb engineer, reached by a paging alert at any hour. Because the same engineers operate the servers and release the code onto them, nobody has to establish whose problem it is before work starts. Escalation paths and response expectations are agreed in the contract, and the incident write-up reaches you afterward with what changed to stop a repeat.

How much does managed cloud hosting cost?

Two numbers decide it: what the cloud itself bills, and what the managed layer costs on top. You see the infrastructure figure first, built from the traffic your stores already handle, before any scope is agreed. The managed fee scales with the number of storefronts and the depth of release support each one takes. No price is put in front of you before that.

Do you host stores that are not built on Magento?

Yes. scandiweb operates infrastructure for custom Node and PHP applications, and for headless commerce services where the storefront and the backend scale separately. Adobe Commerce is the deepest specialism because of the certification base. Platform choice does not change how the infrastructure is operated.
